Preliminary Call for Papers

The 17th Seminar on Power Electronics and Control (SEPOC 2025) will be held from November 9 to 12, 2025, in a hybrid format, combining on-site and remote participation. The event is jointly organized by the University of Vale do Itajaí (UNIVALI), SC, and the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), RS, Brazil.

SEPOC 2025 will feature plenary and panel sessions, in addition to technical paper presentations and poster sessions, with a strong focus on innovation and emerging trends in power electronics and control systems.

Special Topics of SEPOC 2025

  1. The role of Applied Computing, Control Systems, Power Electronics, and Smart Grids in improving reliability and power quality in electrical systems.
  2. Integration of Applied Computing, Power Electronics, and Control Systems in Microgrids and localized energy systems.
  3. Applications of Power Electronics and Automation to enhance performance and energy efficiency in industrial processes.

The Organizing Committee of SEPOC 2025 invites researchers worldwide to submit original full papers written in English presenting novel research findings aligned with the conference themes.

Publication Opportunities

Accepted and presented papers written in English may be submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, subject to compliance with IEEE guidelines.

  • The top 20% of selected papers will be recommended for submission to IEEE IAS journals.
  • Papers and Extended Abstracts written in Portuguese presented at the event will be published in the SEPOC 2025 Virtual Proceedings, hosted on Manancial (UFSM).
  • The 10 best papers written in Portuguese will be recommended for publication in the Brazilian Journal of Power Electronics (SOBRAEP).
