First Submission

Prospective authors are invited to submit a full paper (in English or Portuguese) following the IEEE two-column US Letter format for conference proceeding, considering a maximum length of 6 pages, including the references section, in PDF format. Do not include any identifying information (such as author names or affiliations), for this first submission.

Submission Deadline: July 1st, 2026

Submission Categories

There are two types of submissions:

  • English Paper – Oral Presentation Session: Eligible for publication in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
  • Portuguese Paper – Oral/Poster Presentation Session: Eligible for publication in the SEPOC 2026 Virtual Proceedings (Manancial).

Required Information

In the submission system, you will be required to provide the following information:

  • Paper Title
  • Submission Category
  • Session Topic Number
  • Abstract (~100 words)
  • Full Paper (upload as a single PDF)
  • Author Information
  • Co-Authors Information (up to 10)
  • Presenter (must designate one main author)
  • Acceptance of the LGPD Terms

Formatting Requirements

To be included in the SEPOC 2026 proceedings, papers must strictly adhere to the following formatting rules:

  • Paper Size: US Letter (8.5″ × 11″)
  • Length: 4 to 6 pages, including figures, tables, and references (Papers exceeding 6 pages will not be submitted to IEEE Xplore Digital Library)
  • File Format: PDF (Adobe PDF only)
  • Fonts: All fonts must be embedded
  • Maximum File Size: 5 MB
  • Page Numbering: Do not include page numbers
  • Security Settings: Do not apply any restrictions or encryption to the file

Final Submission

All accepted and presented papers written in English will be published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, while those accepted and presented in Portuguese will be included in the virtual Proceedings hosted on Manancial – UFSM. All final versions of the papers must follow the IEEE two-column US Letter format for conference proceedings.

Submission Category 1

All approved papers, after the improvements, must be validated on IEEE PDF Express before the final submission to the system, by the corresponding author. (Papers without this validation will not be submitted to IEEE Xplore Digital Library). For the Submission Category 2 it is not necessary.
